I struggled today

Breakfast:-Fat free natural yogurt, sweetener to taste, with strawberries, melon and a sliced fig.

Out to a horse show with two ponies.

Snacked all morning:- 3 picked eggs, two apples, about ten slices of ham, half a pack of cherry tomatoes, some carrots. Others were walking around with chips and bacon rolls, chocolate and crisps and lots of kids had Halloween sweets so there was danger everywhere i looked. I made myself a hot cup of chocolate with chocolate options, water and a dash of skimmed milk. So i knew this was going to be a difficult day.

Lunch:- I made egg and bacon rolls for five people and gave in and had a wholemeal bacon and egg bap myself.......and really enjoyed it.

Snacked all afternoon:- Half a melon, and a tray of grapes while others had chocolate. A pack of crab sticks and carrots while driving the lorry home. When i got in the house the chocolate fix was desperately needed so i made up a large bowl of fat free natural yogurt, sweetened and added a measure of chocolate options to it and took my time eating and savouring every minute of it.

Tea time:- Before i went out that morning, i put a gammon joint in the slow cooker. When home again i steamed some cabbage, carrots, sprouts and mashed potatoe to go with it. I added some fat free cottage cheese and vinegar to taste. Finally i feel full and ready for bed.

Saturday was a very busy day

Breakfast :- Fat free natural yogurt, sweetened and added to strawberries, melon and a sliced fig.

Lunch time:- Lettuce, carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, three poached eggs, all of which filled a full dinner plate.

Snacks:- As much fruit as i want as often as i want, water and diet coke to drink.

Tea:- We decided to go out for a meal at short notice with friends, so i had a bit of salad like what i had at lunch time to try to take the edge off my appetite.......don't think it worked.....lol
I was the driver so no booze but i did drink diet coke all night. I wasn't planning on having a starter but soon tucked into a really bad one of chicken drum sticks, potatoe wedges, chicken nuggets, onion rings, scampi, and worst of all garlic bread! it was shared between three instead of two though.
Mains was a rump steak, peas, tomatoes, mushrooms and big chunky chips and i shared an extra portion of chips from the center of the table.
I planned to skip the deserts but gave in when i saw the menu! I had a flapjack type cookie with two scoops of ice-cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was really lovely and i was so disappointed that i couldn't finish it.
Now for the guilty feeling and wishing that i hadn't eaten it although i really did enjoy it.
I must be good now for the rest of the week.

Thursday, 27 October 2011

Lunch:- It was a bit hectic today, what with preparing ponies for a show tomorrow, teaching sessions, training sessions, shopping and farmville but i did have three pairs of almost teenage hands to help. We collected my four day stash of fruit and veg from my local green grocer, who, i have discovered quite recently, as being the cheapest place around to purchase the buckets full of fruit and veg which i now consume. Right next door is a chippy and due to the lack of time available today we voted to have a greasy lunch...... but not me. Salt and vinegar chips out of paper smell sooooo nice but i had three pickled eggs instead, oh and two lovely sweet apples on route back to the yard. I unloaded the shopping and filled my pockets up with raw carrots and a pack of crab sticks which i munched through over the next hour.
I never eat or drink from 1pm on a Thursday because of it being weigh in day so everyone has to keep out of my way if they are eating.
7.30pm :- I'm greeted by friendly faces and prepare myself to weigh in. The shoes, jacket and jumper all come off and i empty my pockets, as i step on board almost holding my breath. Yes, I've managed to loose two and a half  lb and am delighted. I then sit and eat the fruits that I've taken with me and today its a tray of grapes, an apple, banana and a fig.
Dinner:- Grilled chicken drum sticks which have had all the skin removed before cooking, steamed sprouts, carrots and broccoli with a large jacket potatoe served with warmed up passatta as a sauce, and vinegar to taste.
For desert, a big bowl of good old fat free yogurt, sweetener to taste with fresh strawberries, raspberries and a sliced fig. I'll save my hi-fibre bar for my bed time snack.

WEIGH IN DAY TODAY
